Adoption Profile Creation in 3 Easy Steps

Adoption Profile Creation in 3 Easy Steps

I know that the idea of creating your adoption profile feels incredibly hard and scary. After all, the wrong word and the expectant mother might not pick you, right? But we both know that you have so much love to give to this child, and you just want to make an adoption profile that helps expectant parents see and feel the love you have for the baby you want to adopt. In today’s article, we will focus on creating your adoption profile in 3 easy steps.

Before we dive into discussing how to create your adoption profile, let’s make sure we are on the same page when we say the words adoption profile.

Different Types of Adoption Profiles:

  • Adoption Profile Brochure: 2 pages or less

  • Adoption Profile Booklet: 10 pages or less with a softcover

  • Adoption Profile Book: 16 pages or more with a hardcover

  • Adoption Profile Video

  • Adoption Profile Website

  • Adoption Profile Social Media Page

The tips that I am giving today apply to all of these types of profiles, so let’s dive in.

How To Create An Adoption Profile Step 1:

The first step is to have a clear vision of the story you want to share about your family.

I know this may seem like a no-brainer, but having a clear vision of the story you want to share about your family is critical. There is a famous saying in marketing, “if you confuse, you lose,” and this is especially true when creating an adoption profile. If your profile feels like a laundry list of everything about you and your family, it will simply be too overwhelming for someone to take on board.

If your profile feels overwhelming, then the expectant parents will move on to the next adoption profile in line, and we both know that we don’t want that to happen. So instead, you want to focus on the messages you are sharing about your family in your adoption profile to help expectant parents get to know you better and faster.

How To Create An Adoption Profile Step 2:

The second step is to know how you want to share your story (type of profile)

Knowing how you want to share your story will impact what you will create to share. I think this will make more sense if I give you an example. So let’s say Sara is adopting and she loves to travel, Sara would share her love of travel in a profile book and a website, maybe through a couple of examples, but when it comes to social media, she needs a few more examples. Social media also gives the expectant mother the ability to share slice-of-life type videos and photos, whereas the traditional profile booklet or adoption profile book would be more focused on just pictures and written descriptions.

Therefore, knowing how you want to share your profile in real life and the virtual world is essential to know what type of adoption profile content you should create.

How To Create An Adoption Profile Step 3:

The third and final step is to tap into professional experience through formal training or a done-for-me service. Listen, we all have different zones of genius in this world. But that is what makes the world go round. This makes sense when you stop and think about how panicking it can be to even start your adoption profile.

But it doesn’t have to be that way, friend. There are easier ways to create your adoption profile that doesn’t make your heart leap out of your chest or cost you thousands of dollars. I offer trainings that teach you how to create adoption profiles yourself. I also offer a done for you service where I put my 20+ years of marketing experience to work for you in your adoption profile.
